Blount Arrests in the Last Day
The sheriff's BCSO Inmate Lookup System is the closest official source for a Blount County 24-hour arrest picture. Its dashboard posts booking and release counts. There is also a "Last 5 Bookings" panel. The main table lists current inmates. Each view answers a different question. The summary tracks overall jail activity. The panel spotlights a handful of fresh admissions. The roster covers everyone currently held, including people booked days ago.
No official page lists every arrest by every Blount County police agency in a rolling day, because the ILS tracks only the county detention facility. Citations and incidents that never lead to a jail admission stay off it. It can also hold people for outside agencies. Check the agency and court record before crediting an arrest to Maryville Police, Alcoa Police, or BCSO itself.
Intake takes time before a new arrest appears online. For urgent questions, call Adult Corrections rather than trusting a blank search.
Check Who Blount Booked Today
Start at BCSO.com. Open "Inmate Now," which leads into ILS. The search box filters the current table. It is not a date-range tool. Type the person's correctly spelled name, then compare close matches rather than trusting the first row; age, physical description, intake date, booking number, arrest date, court, and docket details help separate people who share a name.
- Open the official ILS and note the 24-hour summary and last five bookings.
- Search the current roster by name and open a likely detail record.
- Compare age, description, booking date, arrest date, court, and docket number.
- If processing may be underway, call Adult Corrections at (865) 273-5245.
- If the person was released, contact BCSO Records at (865) 273-5003 and request a date-bounded booking record.
The Blount County recent arrests hub walks through the countywide search and photo path. Keep any booking number you see. It pinpoints a request far better than a name. That alone can spare you confusion between a new admission and an older record.
Fields in Today’s Blount Bookings
The dashboard and the current table do not show the same things. A list row gives a quick match. The detail view adds the explaining fields. Intake date marks the jail's admission time, which can differ from the arrest time. A bond amount sets a release condition. It is not a penalty.
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| First and last name | The booked identity as entered by jail staff |
| Age, race, sex | Basic matching data that should be checked with care |
| Booking number | The local reference for that admission |
| Intake date and time | When jail intake was recorded, not necessarily arrest time |
| Arrest number and date | The arrest event grouped with listed offenses |
| Charge and count | Charges as booked, not final findings |
| Bond | The recorded release condition or amount |
| Court, docket, date | Clues for following the case after booking |
| Front and side images | Observed booking images in the detail interface |
The record structure includes a release-date field. Current entries often show it blank. A blank field predicts nothing about when someone leaves. Release can follow bond, a court order, a transfer, a finished sentence, or another custody change.
Why a New Blount Arrest Lags
Transport and intake happen before anything goes public. Jail staff confirm identity, take property, enter paperwork, attach offenses, and build the booking record. A photo may be taken and linked. Only then can the record reach the public table. Court filings run on their own clock, and news reports often come later still. One arrest can carry several timestamps.
Don't mistake the last-five panel for a full day's list. It is a short dashboard feature. A sixth newer booking can push an earlier admission out of the panel while that person stays on the full roster. A release can also pull someone from the live view, even though BCSO Records keeps the booking material under its schedules.
The official BCSO Newsroom posts dated announcements, not a comprehensive same-day feed.

Treat newsroom items as event confirmation, then return to ILS or Records for booking details.
Photos on Blount’s Current Roster
The roster shows a thumbnail. The detail view adds front and side images. That makes ILS the official booking-photo source for anyone displayed right now. BCSO promises nothing about keeping images public after release. A photo can vanish once the roster entry rolls off.
If the entry is gone, call BCSO Records. Adult Corrections works too. Give the person's name, a narrow intake date, and the booking number if you have it. A city police custodian may hold the arrest report itself. The jail, though, likely holds the booking image it created.
Note: ILS is a current-custody tool, not a permanent public mugshot archive.
Confirm a Missing Blount Arrest
A name that comes back empty can mean several things in Blount County. Intake may still be underway, or the spelling could differ from what was typed. Some arrests end with a citation instead of a booking, while others involve a quick release, a transfer, or a hold by a separate authority. Which fallback fits depends on the stage that needs confirming.
| Question | Official next step |
|---|---|
| Is the person in county custody now? | Check ILS, then call Adult Corrections |
| Was a booking created but removed from the roster? | Ask BCSO Records for the booking record |
| Which city agency made the arrest? | Request the originating police report or inspect the court file |
| Has a criminal case been filed? | Use the Blount online court search and docket data |
| Has custody moved to TDOC? | Search Tennessee FOIL for state felony custody or supervision |
The Blount County court search reaches back to August 1, 2019. It covers case filings, not the live jail roster. Case detail can still clarify what happened after an arrest. The VINE Arrest Check page explains the state alert service and its limits. Blount County Jail participation is not confirmed in official public material. So call the facility for custody confirmation.
Blount Sheriff App and Alerts
BCSO promotes its Blount County Sheriff TN mobile app. News, mugshots, emergency notifications, and community resources all appear there, according to the agency. That makes recent arrests easy to browse. Still, know what a result is. A current jail entry, an older newsroom story, and an alert are different things. iOS users can find the listing on the App Store. The BCSO site sends Android users through a Google Play search route. Stick with the sheriff's own publisher listing. A push alert does not replace a records request. It also does not replace a court lookup or a call to the facility. For immediate custody questions, the corrections line is the authoritative contact.
Arrested Does Not Mean Guilty
The charge listed on a Blount County booking entry is simply what was typed in at intake. The paper trail continues well beyond that point. A filed case carries a docket number. That number is the way into the court system. Orders and disposition entries tell the real story. Bond amounts, booking photos, and roster time reveal little about it. Juvenile details, protected victim information, sealed records, and other confidential material may be withheld by law. That is a lawful limit on the record, not a sign that nothing happened.
